Dr. Jan Renz is a researcher at the Hasso Plattner Institute HPI in Potsdam and part of the team for Web University / Knowledge and Learning Technology and CTO of the HPI School Cloud. Before entering academia, he spent more than 10 years as CTO of an Internet agency. For more than 8 years he has been teaching students online and offline. In 2013, he joined HPIs web research team and works to improve the learning experience with scalable online solutions. His research focuses on the user-centered optimization of e-learning applications and learning infrastructures on a large scale. In 2020 he received his doctorate on this topic (Dr. rer. Nat.). Since 2020, Dr Jan Renz has been a consultant for learning technology at the WHO Academy.
