This 1 hour web-based course is designed to introduce business professionals such as marketing managers and catalog managers, the skills they need to create and manage WebSphere Commerce workspaces for their store, and the core features of the Workspace Management tool of Management Center that is provided by IBM WebSphere Commerce V7 Feature Pack 7.
The skills that are developed in this course enable WebSphere Commerce business users to create, and manage workspaces, task groups, and tasks with the use of the Workspace management tool of the Management Center. The course also explains the need for workspaces and how the business users can work with the Management Center tools in the assigned workspace from within Management Center.
The course begins with an overview of workspaces. It introduces the students to different workspace related concepts such as task groups and tasks supported by a scenario. It also gives an overview of the related server types such as authoring server and production server, workspace management roles and the tasks that can be performed by each role with the use of Workspace Management tool and specify about he states that the workspaces, task groups and task can attain. Subsequent unit covers different activities on workspaces, tasks, and task groups and the workspace best practices.
A scenario-based sample demonstration is provided to facilitate students to understand how to log in to the Management Center with different workspace management roles, and perform respective tasks such as create workspaces, tasks, and task groups. It also shows how to work with task groups and tasks.
