Introduction to Windows PowerShell
Working with the pipeline (exporting, importing and converting data, filtering and numbering objects)
How the pipeline works (passing data with ByValue or ByPropertyName)
Using PSProviders and PSDrives
Formatting the output
Using WMI and CIM (Windows Management Instrumentation/Common Information Model - querying data, making changes)
Scripting (use of variables, security, alternative credentials)
Basics of error handling, basic scripting constructs, advanced functions
Administration of remote computers (basics, remote sessions, remoting for delegated administration)
Scheduling a Windows PowerShell script, configuring Server Core computers
Background jobs and scheduled jobs
Advanced PowerShell techniques and profiles

Aim

Participant requirements

Experience with Windows Server installation and configuration, network adapter configuration, basic Active Directory user administration and hard drive configuration. Experience with Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 is a plus, but not required.
